• BioT-ethics
  Biot-Ethics is aproject launched to overcome the insufficient disciplinarian and theoretical characterization of the branch of Ethics concerned with Biotechnology, and the virtual lack of BioT-Ethics teaching, particularly at the level of the doctorate student.
• Envethics
• Ethics on Clinical Trial Collaboration with developing countries (CTC-Ethics)
  CTC-Ethics aims to examine ethical issues in clinical trial collaborations with developing countries, by producing a teaching manual that can be used both as a teaching and as a reference tool.
• European Association of Centres for Medical Ethics (EACME)
  EACME, created in 1985, is an international research and communication network.
• European Business Ethics Netowrk (EBEN)
  EBEN is the only International network dedicated wholly to the promotion of business ethics in European private industry, public sector, voluntary organizations and academia.
• European Ethics Network (EEN)
  EEN is a forum with a concrete purpose,. which is primarily to develop a practical ethics for, and as far as possible in dialogue with, professionals and to stimulate discussion between fundamental ethics and the specific areas of specialisation.
• Eursafe
  Eursafe is a new, independent organisation, which provides a focal point for those who have a professional interest in the ethical issues involved in agriculture and food supply.
• International Association of Bioethics (IAB)
  IAB aims to be truly international, linking all those working in bioethics and related fields, facilitating mutual contact, and encouraging the discussion of cross-cultural aspects in bioethics.
• Privireal
  Privireal examins the implementation of the Data Protection Directive 95/46/EC in relation to medical research and the role of ethics committees.

• Food and Agricultural Organisation of the United Nations (FAO) Ethics in Food and Agriculture
  As a Priority Area for Interdisciplinary Action, FAO has established an internal Committee on Ethics in Food and Agriculture to guide the Organization's actions.
• Organisation for Economic and Cultural Development (OECD)
• World Health Organisaion (WHO) Ethics and Health
  WHO has been created as an aid to persons, both inside and outside of WHO, seeking information about bioethics, including the ethical aspects of healthcare delivery and planning as well as the ethics of clinical care, research, and biotechnology.
• United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO)
  The UNESCO Bioethics Programme was created in 1993 and has been a principal priority of UNESCO since 2002.
• United Nations Inter-Agency Committee on Bioethics
  The United Nations Inter-Agency Committee on Bioethics was established to promote coordination and cooperation among themselves and other regional and international inter-governmental groups that deal with the field of bioethics, including its human rights aspects and other related issues.

  The European Commission is aiming to promote science and research which respects fundamental ethical principles.
• European Group on Ethics and New Technologies (EGE)
  EGE of the European Commission is an independant, pluralist and multidisciplinary body which advises the European Commission on ethical aspects of science and new technologies in connection with the preparation and implementation of Community legislation or policies.
• Food Ethics Council
  Established 1998 as charity, in response to widespread public concern about recent developments in food and agriculture. Reports on ethical issues ranging from drug use in farm animals to intellectual property in agricultural research.
• International Society for Environmental Ethics (ISEE)
  Includes bibliography on environmental ethics (over 7,000 entries) and newsletters
• The Nordic Committee on Bioethics
  The Nordic Committee on Bioethics was formed out of the "Nordic Committee on Ethics", which was set up in 1989 by the Nordic Council of Ministers in connection with a Nordic collaborative project on biotechnology. In 1996 the Committee changed its name to the Nordic Committee on Bioethics.
• Strategic Initiative for Developing Capacity in Ethical Review (SIDCER)
  SIDCER is a global network dedicated to developing ethical review for the promotion of ethical and scientific values in biomedical research.
• European Association for Higher Education in Biotechnology (HEduBT)
• Nordic Committee on Bioethics
• The European Society for Philosophy of Medicine and Health Care (ESPMH)
  ESPMH was established in 1987 by an international company of philosophers, physicians, ethicists and other interested professionals in the field with a view to the growing need for critical reflection on the role of medicine and health care in our present society.

  The European Bioethical Research is an international, non profit organization based in Scotland that encourages and promotes research and discussion in bioethics amongst academics.

• Danish Centre for Bioethics and Risk Assessment (CeBRA)
  Performs interdisciplinary research in the crossroads of the humanities, social sciences and biology, in particular about ethics and risk issues in relation to scientifically produced biological knowledge and its applications (gene / bio-technology of plants and animals)
• French National Consultative Ethics Committee for Health and life Sciences - National Consultative Ethics Committee for Health and Life Sciences - National Bioethics Advisory Commission France

• Lithuanian Bioethics Committee (LBEC)
  Responsible for the protection of human rights and dignity in the field of health care
• Nuffield Council on Bioethics
  The Nuffield Council on Bioethics an independent body established by the Trustees of the Nuffield Foundation in 1991 to consider the ethical issues arising from developments in medicine and biology. • Bioethics and Society Research Register
  Directory of individuals and centres involved in research into the ethical, legal and social aspects of biotechnology. The register contains information about research interests (including details of projects underway), courses and education offered, contact details and descriptions of the aims of centres. It also includes links to the homepages of centres and individuals where they have them.
• Bioethics Today
  The Bioethics Today is an electronic bioethics resource for the UK, funded by the Wellcome Trust.
• Cardiff Centre for Ethics, Law & Society (CCELS)
  The centre was launched in January 2003 and will work towards providing a virtual learning environment for the cross-disciplinary teaching of ethics.
• Bioethics knowledge tool

• British Medical Journal
  The BMJ aims to help doctors everywhere practise better medicine and to influence the debate on health.
• Bioethics
  This journal of the International Association of Bioethics provides a forum for well-argued articles on the ethical questions raised by current issues such as: international collaborative clinical research in developing countries, organ transplants and xenotransplantation, ageing and the human lifespan, AIDS, the Human Genome Project and its implications, and embryonic stem cell research.
• Actionbioscience.org
  Actionbioscience.org is a non-commercial, ad-free, educational web site created to promote bioscience literacy by providing articles by scientists, science educators, and science students on issues related to seven bioscience challenges: environment, biodiversity, genomics, biotechnology, evolution, new frontiers in science, and bioscience education.   A service of the National Library of Medicine, PubMed includes over 14 million citations for biomedical articles back to the 1950's.
• Renardus
  The Renardus (formerly Reynards) project was one of EU's Information Society Technologies 5th framework programme and aims to provide a trusted source of selected, high quality Internet resources for those teaching, learning and researching in higher education in Europe. Renardus provides integrated search and browse access to records from individual participating subject gateway services (data providers) across Europe.
• Resource Discovery Network (RDN)
  The RDN is a collaboration of over seventy educational and research organisations, including the Natural History Museum and the British Library. In contrast to search engines, the RDN gathers resources which are carefully selected, indexed and described by specialists in our partner institutions. You can be confident that your search results and browsing will connect you to Web sites relevant to learning, teaching and research. The RDN builds upon the foundations of the subject gateway activity carried out under the JISC's (Joint Information Systems Committee) eLib Programme.
• Viikki Science Library (eVIIKKI)
  Finnish scientific literature reference database on agriculture, forestry, food, nutrition, household sciences, consumer research, rural development, environmental science
• The WWW Virtual Library (VL)
  The VL is run by a loose confederation of volunteers, who compile pages of key links for particular areas in which they are expert; even though it isn't the biggest index of the web, the VL pages are widely recognised as being amongst the highest-quality guides to particular sections of the web.
• INFOMINE
  INFOMINE is a virtual library of Internet resources relevant to faculty, students, and research staff at the university level. It contains useful Internet resources such as databases, electronic journals, electronic books, bulletin boards, mailing lists, online library card catalogs, articles, directories of researchers, and many other types of information. Librarians from The University of California, Wake Forest University, California State University, The University of Detroit - Mercy, and other universities and colleges have contributed to building INFOMINE.
